February 2023 MBA Placement Results

When is winter going to be OVER? Not sure about all of you, but I’m DONE with snow. Yes, we need the moisture, and thankfully we have had a ton of it this winter. But I’m READY for Spring! Similar with Recruiting…I’m so looking forward to warming up here! Best part of spring? The NCAA tournament! Best 3 weeks in sports, what a great time of year.

But I digress….here is February’s results. We made good progress, and more is to come!

Congrats to those who accepted full-time and Internship roles in February!

Here is the overall class placement for both FT and Internships through February:

Full Time: Making progress, still lagging last year by 13% points. Keep up the hard work, we will close this gap!

Internships: A stellar month, we once again remained ahead of both benchmarks. Great job!

FULL TIME OFFERS:

FT Job offers still lag last two years. The economy, and uncertainty is dogging companies and it’s having an effect on MBA FT recruiting. Through February, 63% of FT Seeking MBAs have received at least one offer.

INTERNSHIP OFFERS:

Internship offers are robust – % of students with at least one offer stands at 78% – a full 14% points ahead of last year. Great result. Let’s keep it up!

INTERNATIONAL PLACEMENT:

Mirroring overall placement, FT is behind last year materially, and internships are ahead. Tough market conditions are playing out in FT placement.

INTERN TO FULL TIME CONVERSION:

Intern to full time conversion looks like it will settle at approximately 33% for this year. Market uncertainty has played a major role for companies and recruiting teams.

SUMMARY:
We are definitely in the home stretch, as of this writing, we have 7 weeks to graduation. This is a team event – meaning, we all need to help out where we can and get our classmates and friends placed. If you have any contacts, opportunities, and help you can render, please do so, and let Perry, Shawna, and myself know.

Finally, a quote:

“Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do. More than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known told the author their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them.”
